What is old-age cognitive decline?

Some changes in the ability to think are considered a normal part of the aging process. We develop many thinking abilities that appear to peak around age 30 and, on average, very subtly decline with age. These age-related declines most commonly include overall slowness in thinking and difficulties sustaining attention, multitasking, holding information in mind and word-finding. Research indicates that age-related changes in brain structures such as decreased hippocampal, frontal and temporal lobe volumes are a common aspect of aging that contributes to some of the thinking changes.

Current Trend of age related cognitive decline.

Rates of dementia and mild cognitive impairment rose sharply with age: 3% of people between 65 and 69 had dementia, rising to 35% for people age 90 and over.[1]

In my observations, even people in late 30s and 40s are now suffering from memory loss episodes.

High School Quality May Have a Long-Term Impact on Cognition

As per this new research[2], Quality of school environment and quality of teachers(learned, researchers, wise) controls if you will have cognitive issues in old age or not!

Today, in most schools, focus is more on infrastructures and services. Teachers are just another tools, easily replaceable by AI and Online content. Hardly trained teachers are available. Teachers change job often. Teachers don’t care much about well-being of the students. Teachers lack motherly nature, don’t really are engaged in research and reading, don’t care to take care of emotional and psychological development of kids. imagine the future of our population based on this research[2]!

Poor teachers -> Poor old age health
