Water Medicine – Part 2 – Avoid Excess Water

Our education, modern medical science and all family grooming in modern pretext suggest to keep body hydrated. Whats-app-university professors also consider body as toilet and prescribe daily morning flushing by drinking tons of water! They also prescribe water with honey, water with salt and numerous such remedies!

All of this lead to unforeseen health issues! Despite good life style, food and all, you become sick because of this one bad habit related to water drinking!

Excess water is poison. In name of Ayurveda or Naturopathy, so many such practices are famous in society. The most famous one – Drink 8 glasses of water per day! Nonsense! Yes, it is important to keep the body hydrated but not by excess drinking!

अंबु(जल) के अति सेवन से उत्पन्न हुई मंद अग्नि की परिस्थिति रोगों को निमंत्रण है | पानी तब ही लीजिए जब तृष्णा हो | तृष्णा तृप्ति के लिए एक साथ 2-3 ग्लास पानी ग्रहण न करें | न्यूनतम पानी से काम चलाएं | हाँ, तृष्णा भाव तृप्त होना चाहिए !

अत्यम्बु-पानं कठिनासनं च धातु-क्षयो वेग-विधारणं च।
