Subtle parts of food

Marut

Dharma

If the food is not grown with Sattvik intention, not harvested with Sattvik intentions, not sold with same intention, you are bound to get Rajasik or Tamasik feeling by eating so called Sattvik fruits.
GM seeds is an outcome of greed(Tamas) and political dominance(Rajas). Desire to grow more. Tamas and Rajas subtly packaged in your food.
The Chandogya Upanishad states that the food we eat gets divided into three parts. The undigested solids are converted into faeces. The food which is absorbed into blood after digestion is converted into muscles and various tissues. The subtle, that is very minute particles of food form the mind.
The subtle particles of food are the particles of sattva, raja and tama which are the components of our mind. Therefore our thoughts and behaviour change with our diet. S,R, T are mental tendencies. Food is physical stuff – more related to Kapha, Pitta and Vayu. Food does have subtle panchkoshiya sharir but not own will so food’s S,R,T tendency is reflection of those who handled food. Any XYZ food can be S,R,T – based on who serves it, with what intention food is served, with what intention food is grown. I consider farming and cooking are most sacred and selfless activities. A diet which increases the sattva component is called a sattvik diet while a diet which increases the raja and tama components of the mind is called a rajasik and tamasik diet respectively.
Do we ever care for third part? The subtle part associated with food intake? Majority diseases carry their roots in this subtle part.
Always buy food from Satvik farmer who grows food out of reverence for mother nature and society by natural seeds of local variety.
