Studies about food and exercise, done in western setup, on western subjects, don’t work everywhere same. Still, we as an Indian, are so influenced by western academia, that we accept it blindly. And then blame sudden deaths or sicknesses to all sort of superstitious reasons, including viruses. Besides, most of these western studies ( I say most because now they are considering circadian rhythms ) ignore เคฆเฅเคถ (Terrain), เคเคพเคฒ(Individual’s age, Season , time of the day), เคชเฅเคฐเคเฅเคคเคฟ (Individual’s body constitution), current state of individual’s Agni in driving any conclusion.
Take for example, this study [1] saying that 5 Hours of Moderate Activity a Week May Be Required to Avoid Midlife Hypertension.
For whom? Where? In which season? All questions are unanswered.
40+ Pitta prakriti may need less exercise than 40+ Kapha Prakriti.
You need 10 hrs per week exercise in winter but only 2-3 hrs in Indian summer. For such prescriptions, rely on authentic Ayurvedic Vaidya’s prescription and not such blanket studies from fancy universities in west!
