Functions are the fundamental part of the calculus in mathematics. The functions are the special types of relations. A function in math is visualized as a rule, which gives a unique output for every input x.

Festivals are functions (like math function) when applied to life, gives great life-enriching results.

Since we are humans, it is out dharma to apply these functions on self and brahmand (local surroundings).

गणित में फलन का अत्यंत महत्व है । फलन की मदद से हम प्रकृति के सिद्धांती स्वरूप को समज सकते है । गणित में जब कोई राशि का मान किसी एक या एकाधिक राशियों के मान पर निर्भर करता है तो इस संकल्पना को व्यक्त करने के लिये फलन (function) शब्द का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

हमारे उत्सव भी एक प्रकार से आवश्यक फलन प्रक्रिया ही है। पिण्ड और ब्रह्मांड की अवस्था में बदलाव लाने हेतु, कुछ ज्ञात कर्म (स्वधर्म) करने पर पिण्ड और ब्रह्मांड की अवस्था बदलती है । दीपावली एक ऐसा फलन है जहां अलक्ष्मी का स्वरूप बदलकर लक्ष्मी में परिवर्तित कर सकते है ।
