Diabetes increases risk of cancer

Cancer, Diabetes

If I go through some of my notes from 2012-14, this is what I shared with Indian Medicinal context (Of course, lot based on my limited understanding). My view was simple – root is in prana.

“Be it TB or Diabetes or Cancer or any life threatening, slow progressing danger is due to lack of Prana coordination among themselves and with mind and body. Mainly, Apana vayu depletion is in root cause. With depleted Prana, organs lose their identity. Loss identity results either in death or cancer.”

Diabetes is death path with body compression.
Cancer is also death path with body expansion.

क्षय or अर्बुदा

What is the solution?

1) Start acting like a Bhagwad Gita Tortoise. Minimum sensorial gratification
2) More and more time spent in अरण्य/गौ शाला where body can replenish with prana
3) Reduce mental stress and stream line sleep
4) ब्रह्म मुहूर्त should be used as most critical personal time for pranayama/Qigong/Surya Namaskar/Meditation/Dhyan
5) Do meaningful hard work like free service to farmer by working at farm. Helping neighborhood cleaner etc.

Cornell Research: Metastatic Cancer Increases In Those Who Have Diabetes

As if people living with diabetes didn’t have enough health concerns, here’s another: increased risk of metastatic cancer. New Cornell University research points to a possible explanation for this health double whammy.

“Cancer and diabetes are two of the worst health problems in developed countries, and there’s a link between the two,” says Mingming Wu, professor of biological and environmental engineering at Cornell University. “For cancer, half of the story is still in genetics. It’s only recently we realized there is another half that we missed, which is the microenvironment.”

In order for cancer to metastasize, the researchers say malfunctioning cells must travel through a slurry of minerals, carbohydrates, water, and connective tissue to get into the bloodstream, through which it travels to a different part of the body.

That slurry – known as the extracellular matrix, or ECM – is a complex and dynamic environment. The main component is collagen, a protein that supports cell structural integrity.
