PS: Whatever decisions you are taking for your kids, are fine! I respect your decisions and choices. I am trying to share my perspective, with a wish that it may help fellow-parents with new way of seeing life and parenting.
“So, where is Kathan going for summer camp?”
“Nowhere.”
“Why? Why wasting his potential?”
“Well, I think I must not impose anything. If he feel like doing any activities, I will encourage. For now, he just enjoys play! So only one activity: Play”
“Hmmm…but we also need to make sure that they learn essential things in life! This is good time for them to learn those.”
“Like?”
“Like, sports. self-defense etc.”
“How about learning about food cycles? What is the use of skills and hobbies when our kids won’t have access to clean air, water and food? Don’t get me wrong, what you are suggesting, do need attention. But I feel, it is must for them to understand their environment. Unless they do it, how will they resist climate change? I have decided two activities for him.
गौ-सेवा & वृक्ष-सेवा. If he learns something about them , enough for me. More than enough for him!”
