For sometime, forget that there are any texts written. There is no Mahabharata in text form. There is no Ramayana in text form. There is no Bhagvatam. And there are no Rishis to wrap Itihas in perfect allegories to create impact on Aadhi-bhautik, daivik,aatmic planes. So alike, there was no Rani Padmini.
So, what we are left with is nothing but folk tales passed to generations. Different versions, different point of views. Those are testimonies of real events witnessed by the world and passed on next generation.
If there is a doubt whether certain character and life event happened or not, find our folk versions. If you find them there…they did exist!
Texts can be corrupted. Texts can be destroyed. But human memories cannot!! And only those memories survives which represents reality or Itihas!
