We have at least 1000 years old recorded history of using fabric colored using herbs, not limited to turmeric. I have experimented and found amazing results (We used cotton fabric soaked in cow dung ash, turmeric and neem for my son for first year from birth. His recovery from usual viral infection was miraculously quick during those days)
Instead of such finest methods to produce fabric, we selected easy chemical dyes.
