Our generation has a habit of living in self-denial. Any suggestion from elderly in family or shashtra is primitive, nonsense and worth ignoring. Anything that comes from mighty west, media and entertainment industry, is modern and progressive.
Due to this weakness of blindly following west in all aspects of life, we have made our life miserable.
Our food habits, sleeping habits, enjoyment habits – all are altered and consuming our lives rapidly.
For example, food staples and food-processing procedures introduced during the Neolithic and Industrial Periods have fundamentally altered 7 crucial nutritional characteristics of ancestral humankind diets: 1) glycemic load, 2) fatty acid composition, 3) macronutrient composition, 4) micronutrient density, 5) acid-base balance, 6) sodium-potassium ratio, and 7) fiber content.
Ask your doctor; if he is intelligent and sensible, he will agree with above 7 points.
In the United States and most Western countries, diet-related chronic diseases represent the single largest cause of morbidity and mortality. These diseases are epidemic in contemporary Westernized populations and typically afflict 50–65% of the adult population, yet they are rare or nonexistent in less Westernized people.
So, when we don’t care much about our diet, we should be ready for all kind of degenerative diseases.
To save yourself and future generations, avoid collision of your ancient genome (your heredity) with environmental changes. In short, eat what your grandfather was eating. Live in environment where your body fits best.
Keep children away from processed foods like cold drinks, chocolates, biscuits, wafers, pizza, burger, cake. ZERO TOLERANCE.
Most important : No gym, no exercise will help if you are addicted to modern food habits i.e. processed food, restaurant food, tea, coffee, cigarette, alcohol
