लेखनी-मसिपात्र, हस्ते, चित्रगुप्त नमोस्तुते ||

कौन है चित्रगुप्त?
“एक दिव्य देव शक्ति जो चिन्तान्त: करण में चित्रित चित्रों को पढ़ती है, उसी के अनुसार उस व्यक्ति के जीवन को नियमित करती है, अच्छे-बुरे कर्मो का फल भोग प्रदान करती है, न्याय करती है। उसी दिव्य देव शक्ति का नाम चित्रगुप्त है।”
