Take any subsystem of the body, its essential job is to assimilate self-compatible (be it solid food, air or mental thoughts!) and discard non-self or non-compatible elements.
That is Immunity function. Be it respiration or Digestion or you name it. All are basically sustaining our identity. All are participating in our immunity. (Immunity is a Latin word derived from word मुनि, means anyone who is moved by inward impulses. Someone who is self-inspired. Someone who is performing duties intuitively. )
We hardly breathe properly. Most of us don’t even complete single full breathe during waking hours. Result? Immunity compromised.
We eat food for taste. Against the nature of our body, against the season, against the time of the day, against our age. We do not chew it properly. We eat more than our capacity. We eat more toxins than nutrients. We eat more chemicals in name of supplements and medicines. Result? Immunity compromised.
We hardly do exercise. And in modern times, we sometimes do over-exercise. Based on seasonal variation, we do not adjust exercise schedule. Result? Immunity compromised.
We hardly have thought filter. We do not have control over our mind. So our wondering mind roam around contentiously. Become addict easily. Result? Immunity compromised.
Due to all such faulty systems whose control we have, we assimilate many non-compatible elements, both physical and mental. Accumulation of toxins. Since we failed in our tasks to identify self from non-self due to faulty functions of different systems, mother nature comes at rescue. She gathers viruses and bacteria for cleaning job. To clean the debris of premature death of many cells, bacteria and toxins.
While this cleaning job is going on, due to natural frictions, body gets extra temperature. We also hamper this process and toxins remain there.
All our senses’ control is with us. So our job is to filter body-compatible smell, visuals, taste. Do we do?
One fine day, you suddenly get stroke or attack or cancer. No wonder. Don’t we deserve it?
Think about it. Ultimate prevention is slowdown. Live your life divinely. Take care of all your physiological and mental processes. Do not over-use them. Do not use them for your own petty addiction.
