Was sulfur mentioned in Ramayana when you say Rama’s arrival to Ayodhya was celebrated with intense noise?
๐ย No. Do we really need such detail for all scenes?
Do you watch war movies with expectation that actor will explain missile design and fuel formula?
There are many things not mentioned in Ramayana. Not needed. เคฎเคนเคพเคเคพเคตเฅเคฏ’s primary purpose is เคธเคฐเฅเคตเคเคจเคนเคฟเคคเคพเคฏ. And since they are eternally เคธเคฐเฅเคตเคเคจเคนเคฟเคคเคพเคฏ, one must connect it to present context and situation. Not all are scientists.
But yes, there are special chemistry texts from ancient times where sulfur usage is very well mentioned.
And yes, we have living traditions of firecrackers too.
