Our Hearing Brain Includes Sensing, Moving, Thinking, and Feeling. We do not just hear sounds; we deeply engage with them as we make sense of sound. Our hearing brain is vast. Hearing involves sensing, moving, thinking, and feeling. Auditory neurons make calculations at one thousandth of a second. Light is faster than sound, but in the brain, hearing is faster than seeing, touch, and any other sense.
When you watch TV, you split attention between visual and auditory pathways and keep switching them. This reduces efficiency of altering mindhabits (purpose of Ramayana or any Purana!) But when you hear, you are in your full capacity!
श्रवण -> पठन -> जीवंत नाटक : This should be the way of learning about dharma from Mahakavya and Purana.
