#prachodayatroots
Couple of days back, I wrote this
“Prana shakti present in ghee, dung cakes and wood – one cannot get in gas chamber or electric cremation.
Decipher #GoGreenIllusion”
I got this query on it:
That’s fine. ЁЯСНЁЯП╗
But isn’t cremation required only after the Praan has left the body ? The soul watches the cremation standing outside and grieves as it feels pained at the burning of its body.
My response:
Cremation is not about facilitating the diseased bodily prana but prepare brahamnd prana in a way that dead man’s рдЧрддрд┐ (for Pitru loka) becomes effortless and timely (They take 1 Chandra year to travel to pitru-loka when the last rites are performed right) . And for that specific ingredients are prescribed. ЁЯЩПЁЯЩП

Wrote below note in 2014 when a friend had similar question after common friend’s father’s cremation – Why dung based cremation?

Burn him not up, nor quite consume him, Agni: let not his body or his skin be scattered. O J─Бtavedas, when thou hast matured him, then send him on his way unto the Fathers.
This Rigvedic mantra (10.16.1) speaks a lot about nature of Fire required at the time of cremation. When invoked, gentle form of fire is invoked and which slowly transforms into Kravyadgni (the рдЪрд┐рддрд╛рдЧреНрдирд┐). Purpose is to first send the Aatma to the next world of Pitra gana i.e. Yama lok.
In gas chamber or electric chamber, the fire form is Kravyadgni from beginning. Not desirable. Why and how? – research and contemplation needed.

Vedic rituals are not merely of ceremonial value but are designed to enact various spiritual truths and cosmic processes on the human level. They are effective vehicle of transformation for the participants, putting them in touch with hidden reality, or the cosmic order. It helps purify the psychic environment both individually and collectively. The only condition for effectiveness of the ritual is that it should not be performed mechanically but with full attention and proper control of body, mind, speech and breath.
Death in family is a traumatic event for most due to worldly attachments. Mind is under tremendous chaos. Fire ritual in Anteem Samskara plays a role of transforming and restoring this trauma into so stability.
The ritual with gas or electric chamber cannot give this opportunity to the participants. Such cremation is so fast and mechanical in close chamber, one cannot perform the transformation of psyche.
It is different thing that our present rituals have become mechanical, bearing no fruits.
