ShivaRatri

Last night was most potent night for those who are working to nurture mind day and night. Most potent! Perfect if you can sense!

If you can lost in self, lost for a sublime cause, lost for greater good, are intoxicated by bliss. If you are not, you crave for petty intoxication like Bhang.

Those, intoxicated by life elements, take one thing up and do it until see the end and don’t give up before see the end.

Swami Vivekananda, realizing Shiva within, says aptly that He who can become mad with an idea, he alone sees light. Those that take a nibble here and a nibble there will never attain anything. Yes, they may titillate their nerves for a moment by enjoying intellectual feasts, but very there it will end. They be slaves in the hands of nature, and will never get beyond senses.

For those who are full of Tamas and ignorance, even religion and prayers are nothing but petty entertainment.

Remember the danger associated with frittering away energy by taking one idea only for its novelty (Fashion trends,Fake Status symbols etc) and then again giving it up for another newer.

“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, that is way great spiritual giants are produced.”

Shivratri is about becoming mad for good, for God.
