Link between Milk trade and Cow slaughter

Nisarg Joshi

Cow, Gau

Milk Trade = Cow slaughter
Milk Trade = Cow slaughter
Gau is a mother as per local culture of our land. Culture is not limited to mainland Bharat and is spread across south east Asia and middle east. In Islam, she is considered as mother. In Iran, she is revered as mother.

When you disrobe her status as Mother and commodify her, you kill her divinity and saw roots of slaughtering.

Once it is commodity for you. You treat her as machine.
Is this not killing of her dignity?

You value her by the amount of milk she gives. So, you nurture her in specialized ways (processed food, fish as diet, hormones etc) so that you get good milk yield.
Is this not her exploitation? Symbolic gesture of slaughter, worse than slaughter.

You force her to artificial, non-seasonal pregnancy.
Is this not against mother nature? Again a symbolic gesture of slaughter.

Since male calves cannot give milk and farming is no more based on their helping hands, you send them to slaughter house. Is it not slaughter due to milk trade mindset?

Since cow is milk machine, you send her to slaughter house or abandon her. Is this not worse than slaughter?

Since you want to sell milk, you do not allow calves to milk their mother – is it not worse than slaughter?

For Krishna, even her devaluation from being mother to commodity was shocking so he protested selling milk items.

If you are Krishna follower, how do you tolerate insult of your eternal Hero and God companions i.e. Gau mata?

Her prasad (Gobar, Mutra, Milk – ghee, curd, butter milk) is for those who takes care of her. It is invaluable. It should not be sold to dairy for petty self interests. At max, it is for local community.

Well, we now buy milk in package sold by Amul so what I described above is hard to imagine. Go and visit near by gau shala. You will find ample evidences.
