Lack of Ghee(Fatty acids), Teenage and Anxiety disorder in Adult age

0

TeensFood

You ignore your teen boy/girl’s diet now, deprive them of vital omega fatty acids during brain growth period and you gift them anxiety and entire gamut of neurological disorders in adult life!!

And don’t feel sad for increasing cases of suicide! We as a society failed our future generation!

The structure and function of the brain continue to change throughout adolescence, at the same time that teenagers gain increasing independence and begin to make their own food choices. Since high-calorie, low-quality diets tend to be more affordable than healthy ones, teenagers may opt for foods that lack key nutrients important for brain health such as omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 PUFAs), which cannot be produced by the human body and must be obtained from foods such as Ghee, fish and vegetables.

Amplification of mGlu5-endocannabinoid signaling rescues behavioral and synaptic deficits in a mouse model of adolescent and adult dietary polyunsaturated fatty acids imbalance

Energy-dense, yet nutritionally-poor food is a high-risk factor for mental health disorders. This is of particular concern during adolescence, a period often associated with increased consumption of low nutritional content food and higher prevalence of mental health disorders. Indeed, there is an urgent need to understand the mechanisms linking unhealthy diet and mental disorders. Deficiency in n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFAs) is a hallmark of poor nutrition and mood disorders. Here, we developed a mouse model of n-3 PUFAs deficiency lasting from adolescence into adulthood. Starting nutritional deficits in dietary n-3 PUFAs during adolescence decreased n-3 PUFAs in both medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) and nucleus accumbens, increased anxiety-like behavior and decreased cognitive function in adulthood. Importantly, we discovered that endocannabinoid/mGlu5-mediated long-term depression in the mPFC and accumbens was abolished in adult n-3-deficient mice. Additionally, mPFC NMDAR-dependent long-term potentiation was also lacking in the n-3-deficient group. Pharmacological enhancement of the mGlu5/eCB signaling complex, by positive allosteric modulation of mGlu5 or inhibition of endocannabinoid 2-arachidonylglycerol (2-AG) degradation, fully restored synaptic plasticity and normalized emotional and cognitive behaviors in malnourished adult mice. Our data support a model where nutrition is a key environmental factor influencing the working synaptic range into adulthood, long after the end of the perinatal period. These findings have important implications for the identification of nutritional risk factors for disease and design of new treatments for the behavioral deficits associated with nutritional n-3 PUFAs’ deficiency.

Never Ignore Roots : Pregnancy, Mother’s attitude and Child Development Impact

Mother

Recently, due to some family emergency, I visited near by hospital. There, I saw expectant mothers waiting for their sonography round! While waiting, all of them were engaged in super critical talk on whatsapp! 🙁

Yes, it may be difficult to spend time but then who stops mothers to divert mind in productive activities like reading Ramayana to the child? If not that, why not learn knitting or other activities related to child?

Child neglect starts very early in life. All in the womb! Modern mothers have hardly any time left to think about the womb. Talk with the child. Conversations! Instead of talking with child in womb, she is driven by entertainment! TV to whatsapp and whatsapp to HotStar! As if, chatting on whatsapp is more important than talking with kid!

No Garbha Sanskar music or seminar or super food will help if you can’t connect and communicate with your kid inside!!

I have written in past, how neglect will cause damage to brain. Read them here:

Never compromise motherhood! Be with your child!

Mothers who ‘connect’ with their baby during pregnancy are more likely to interact in a more positive way with their infant after it is born, according to a study carried out at the University of Cambridge. Interaction is important for helping infants learn and develop.

Researchers at the Centre for Family Research carried out a meta-analysis, reviewing all published studies in the field, in an attempt to demonstrate conclusively whether there was a link with the way parents think about their child during pregnancy and their behaviour towards them postnatally.

The results of their work, which draws data from 14 studies involving 1,862 mothers and fathers, are published in the journal Developmental Review.

Studies included in the meta-analysis examined parents’ thoughts and feelings about their child during pregnancy through interviews and questionnaires. For example, in interviews expectant parents were considered to have a ‘balanced’ representation of their child if they showed positive anticipation of their relationship with the child or showed ‘mind-mindedness’ – a propensity to see their child as an individual, with its own thoughts and feelings. This was contrasted by parents who had a ‘distorted’ representation of their child, with a narrow, idealised description of their child, and incomplete or inconsistent descriptions of them.

Once the child had been born, researchers in these studies would observe the interactions between parent and child. One measure they were looking for was ‘sensitivity’ – the ability to notice, interpret and respond in a  timely and appropriate manner to children’s signals, for example if the baby was upset.

Combining the results from all 14 studies, the Cambridge team showed a modest association between positive thoughts and feelings about the infant during pregnancy and later interaction with the infant, but only in mothers.

“Studies have shown that parent-child interaction is crucial for a child’s development and learning, so we wanted to understand if there were prenatal signs that might predict a parent’s behaviour,” says Dr Sarah Foley, the study’s first author, who carried out the research as part of her PhD.

“Although we found a relationship between a mother’s attitude towards her baby during pregnancy and her later interactions, this link was only modest. This suggests it is likely to be a part of the jigsaw, rather than the whole story.”

Research has also shown that increased awareness of the baby during pregnancy is associated with healthy behaviours during pregnancy, such as giving up smoking or attending antenatal appointments.

While more work is needed to determine what form such interventions might take, options might include the midwife encouraging the mother to think about what her baby may be like, or asking the mother to imagine activities they think she and her baby might like to do together.

“This is a relatively new area of research, but could have important implications for children’s development,” adds Dr Foley. “We need more research in this area, but hope it will inform new interventions that could help new mothers engage more with their children.”

The Dark Side of the Modern Food

If you can’t pronounce It, Do you still want to eat It? 😀

This is called कलियुगी माया! 🙂 Toxic influence of toxins!

The problem is, most processed foods have a laundry list of ingredients similar to that of a can of paint. It’s not as simple as adding a little sugar to canned bisque or lemon juice to a scone mix.

Take a look at the list of ingredients from the strawberry flavoring of a milkshake served at a zip-through restaurant:
Amyl acetate, amyl butyrate, amyl valerate, anethol, anisyl formate, benzyl acetate, benzyl isobutyrate, butyric acid, cinnamyl isobutyrate, cinnamylvalerate, cognac essential oil, diacetyl, dipropyl ketone, ethyl butyrate, ethyl cinnamate, ethyl heptanoate, ethyl lactate, ethyl methylphenylglycidate, ethyl Nitrate, ethyl propionate, ethyl valerbate, heliotropin, hydroxphrenyl-2butanone(10% solution to alcohol), a-ionone, isobutyl anthranilate, isobutyl butrate, lemon essential oil, maltol, 4-methylacetophenone, methyl anthranilate, methyl benzoate, methyl cinnamate, methyl heptine carbone, methyl naphthyl ketone, methyl slicylate, mint essential oil, neroli essential oil, nerolin, neryl isobulyrate, orris butter, phenethyl alcohol, sore rum ether, g-undecalctone, vanillin, and solvent[1]

Feeding Formula : Infant’s slow poison

FormulaFeeding

What is poison for you, may not be true for me.

Something is poison when it is given in overdose against the capacity of digestive fire to digest it. Bodily fire to assimilate it with body. Or when it is प्राणविहीन e.g. feeding formula, urea, processed food etc.

Fertilizers for crops and feeding formula for infants – both are poison as they are burden for digestive fire.

Society that promotes chemical fertilizers for crops and feeding formula for kids, is sick and insane society. We are . Our govt is! (Neem coated urea! 🙂 )

Digested formula but not digested fresh human milk causes death of intestinal cells in vitro: implications for necrotizing enterocolitis

Premature infants fed formula are more likely to develop necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) than those who are breastfed, but the mechanisms of intestinal necrosis in NEC and protection by breast milk are unknown. We hypothesized that after lipase digestion, formula, but not fresh breast milk, contains levels of unbound free fatty acids (FFAs) that are cytotoxic to intestinal cells.

Lipase digestion of formula, but not milk, caused significant death of neutrophils (ranging from 47 to 99% with formulas vs. 6% with milk) with similar results in endothelial and epithelial cells. FFAs were significantly elevated in digested formula vs. milk and death from formula was significantly decreased with lipase inhibitor pretreatment, or treatments to bind FFAs. Protease digestion significantly increased FFA binding capacity of formula and milk but only enough to decrease cytotoxicity from milk.

Gadget Meal – New style of parenting

0

EAtingwithGadget

If you have formed this habit of forcing kid to demand screen while eating, STOP it now! Find alternative. This is example of careless and lazy parenting.

1) Kids already have short attention spans. Having TV along with meal further divides it. Lesser focus on meal -> Indigestion
2) Kids learn unwanted human habits from advertisements. You shape their consumer habit.
3) They pick up unnecessary products targeted to them
4) Visuals limit imagination instead enhancing it.

Stop it. If at all needed, you sing a song or enact a scene! Don’t take shortcuts and ruin your kid’s future.

Choose Role Model Carefully: Misleading youth

1
Look at this ad : काटेगी क्या? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmUi-xR178I

And then don’t complain if a teen in neighborhood ogle at middle age female of family. This is what we present to our kids in name of entertainment and rolemodels!
RoleModel
Bollywood actors have no sublime inclination for anything. When this idiot sold MNC product in name of Ayurveda, many of my friends forwarded it to me. Look, he is saying same what you are saying!

It was biggest insult I felt in life. How dare you compare paid actor with me? We don’t need paid actor to help us understand Ayurveda!!

Never consider reel life actors as role model or else you will fall in the trap. Trap where you will start liking vices too! Esp teens. They still don’t understand right vs wrong. They follow role model.

Now this so called Nationalist is selling pervertness and women obsjectification. Take that!

Instead of inspiring youth to work on internal bodily fire which when not working, body stinks, this demon is selling deo!

One segment of FMCG products is flourishing. Fragrance segment. To hide foul body smell.

If our agni is robust and healthy it brings fragrance to life. When agni is imbalanced, the opposite occurs. When a person has a foul smell or bad breath, that indicates impaired agni. Such a person may use perfume, but there is a perfume in your body, a fragrance of the body, which is agni.

Solution is to improve bodily fire. Stabilize it. Avoid events that can destabilize bodily fire.

More and more evidences are noted in recent times for common sense we all have that we give significant legacy to next generation. And that is not limited to genes. The local environment with sperm (epegenetic factors) and global environment (home, air, water, food, work profession etc) too play role.

So essentially, we don’t live for us but for future.

Turns out dads are also eating for two. A study published December 3 in Cell Metabolism reveals that a man’s weight affects the heritable information contained in sperm. The sperm cells of lean and obese men possess different epigenetic marks, notable at gene regions associated with the control of appetite. The comparisons, which included 13 lean men and 10 obese men, offer one biological explanation for why children of obese fathers are themselves more predisposed to obesity.

Live your young age sensibly. Guide teens and educate them about disastrous impact of their addictions and obsessions.

Don’t be selfish.

Obesity and Bariatric Surgery Drive Epigenetic Variation of Spermatozoa in Humans

Obesity is a heritable disorder, with children of obese fathers at higher risk of developing obesity. Environmental factors epigenetically influence somatic tissues, but the contribution of these factors to the establishment of epigenetic patterns in human gametes is unknown. Here, we hypothesized that weight loss remodels the epigenetic signature of spermatozoa in human obesity. Comprehensive profiling of the epigenome of sperm from lean and obese men showed similar histone positioning, but small non-coding RNA expression and DNA methylation patterns were markedly different. In a separate cohort of morbidly obese men, surgery-induced weight loss was associated with a dramatic remodeling of sperm DNA methylation, notably at genetic locations implicated in the central control of appetite. Our data provide evidence that the epigenome of human spermatozoa dynamically changes under environmental pressure and offers insight into how obesity may propagate metabolic dysfunction to the next generation.

Back to the future – Indian kids American Way, Drug addicts from childhood
====================

When a child need parents most, parents are busy with career growth, promotions, material wealth accumulation and petty Cricket and Bollywood type passive armchair entertainment!

Obviously, it impacts growing minds in family.

And then, the pill generation rely upon pills as solution for mental disorders!

Many children of 21st century suffer from poor concentration, hyperactivity, and learning difficulties. Modern medicine declare it as disorder! Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder! ADHD! 🙂

These all symptoms are more related to mind than body. Food also play role but supporting role. Problem is with environment children receive as legacy. Stressed parents, family infighting, toxic food, polluted air, polluted homes, lack of love reciprocated by parents and over-use of technology and screens at home – these are some root causes I found around.

And as you read root causes, solutions are very simple.
But what do children get from doctors?

More chemicals! Ritalin is a popular name of this neurotic drug!
Read the side-effects! Avoid it! Save your kid from further mental trauma! Provide better environment and see the magic!

Making of Zombies : Why media spreads objectification of woman?

2

Objectification

He or she is not human who lacks empathy and community sentiments. Living life of each other is the Vedic principle. We see life as universal sacrifice, helping others. Our motto is “इदं न मम” (This is not mine. This life, this action. Nothing is mine! Nothing is for me! My life is for the world! Rest of the universe!)

This way of life, backed and relied upon Vedic dharmic principles is dangerous for power centers of the world. When world runs like this, they cannot rule the world forever!

So, what is the weapon?

  1. Modern media as mediums
  2. To spread the objectification of gender

Result?

  • Making of zombie who lives life for extremely narrow-minded self-interest and lacks empathy towards the rest.

One one hand, media sells sex to young girls, making them obsessed of self, body and external appearance. Spreading a meme that, it is perfectly ok to be object in front of rest.

On the other hand, media sell extreme objectification of females. This turns most media content recipients into zombies who lack empathy! The collective feeling! For them, opposite gender is mere object to be consumed!

Please read old note on same topic:

Hyper-sexual Media and Child Development

New research shows that in hyper sexulized world, we are being hardwired to lose empathy networks in brain!

Reduced empathic responses for sexually objectified women: An fMRI investigation

Sexual objectification is a widespread phenomenon characterized by a focus on the individual’s physical appearance over his/her mental state. This has been associated with negative social consequences, as objectified individuals are judged to be less human, competent, and moral. Moreover, behavioral responses toward the person change as a function of the degree of the perceived sexual objectification. In the present study, we investigated how behavioral and neural representations of other social pain are modulated by the degree of sexual objectification of the target. Using a within-subject fMRI design, we found reduced empathic feelings for positive (but not negative) emotions toward sexually objectified women as compared to non-objectified (personalized) women when witnessing their participation to a ball-tossing game. At the brain level, empathy for social exclusion of personalized women recruited areas coding the affective component of pain (i.e., anterior insula and cingulate cortex), the somatosensory components of pain (i.e., posterior insula and secondary somatosensory cortex) together with the mentalizing network (i.e., middle frontal cortex) to a greater extent than for the sexually objectified women. This diminished empathy is discussed in light of the gender-based violence that is afflicting the modern society.

You are what your mother eats

For years, pregnant mothers have questioned their nutritional habits: “Will eating more cause my baby to be overweight?”  Or, “I’m eating for two, so it won’t hurt to have an extra serving, right?”

While many factors, such as the age of the mother, overall health and genetics ultimately play a role, the correlation between a mother’s nutrition habits and metabolism has been proved to directly impact the growth of her child. And researchers at OHSU in Portland, Oregon, believe they may be one step closer to knowing why.

In a study published online in Nature Communications, the research team, led by Jae W. Lee, Ph.D., has demonstrated that two neurons key to growth and metabolism — GHRH and AgRP — are developmentally interconnected.

Located in the hypothalamus region of the brain, within a grouping of neurons known as the arcuate nucleus, GHRH, or growth hormone-release hormone, neurons orchestrate body growth and maturation. Meanwhile, AgRP, or Agouti-related peptide, neurons stimulate feeding and suppress energy usage.
