If you want to do survey, do it. You will find that, majority of us are either incapable of or not interested in, deciphering self by understanding it in essence (तत्त्व ज्ञान). But that does not mean, this majority should remain aloof of spiritual progress.

Hence, we have ritualistic and symbolic configuration, which can help large majority in taking one baby step further in spiritual progress.

Those who understand that Cricket is now major anti-national establishment, agree with center image. Cricket lovers oppose it. Those who understand that Bollywood is anti-national establishment, agree with background image. Bollywood sympathizers disagree.

I wanted to avoid this post. But it is required. If we as society, won’t take steps at family level, no one will save us from becoming slaves again.

You use Itihasik characters names as movie characters. Okay. We had history about such films. Unlike past movies, recent attempt by Mr. Bhanshali is different. How?
You show Ram as drug peddler, womaniser; Hanuman with gun, and in background, there is on and often display of real portrait of Itihasik(ऐतिहासिक) character – this surely reveal malicious intents. Trained neuroscientists will tell you that, more than center stage, it is background that connects you with the concept and story more. So when in background, you see continous focus on real Ram and the center stage is of character ‘Ram’ who is drug mafia, it creates cognitive dissonance that slowly converts into disbelief.

Not everyone of us is born with constitution of research and reading. So, major mass will rely on symbols and archtypes to follow ideal life. These symbols are shared with them since childhood by visual and auditory perceptions. Stories, Bhajans, songs, drama etc.

Now when you derail them and shamelessly replace with modern depictions, mass is under tremendous subconscious cognitive dissonance. The storm is so powerful that they slowly disconnect from the roots. A major loss for society. Loss because, self-realization path for majority is derailed.

Results?

Sachin’s godhood, Tejpal’s sexual assault and release of Ram leela – they are not isolated events. They are connected events; represent us as society as a whole. Shows our tastes and inclinations. Shows our disinterest in protecting values and symbols. Shows zombie and parasite state of society. Unfortunate. Pity.

At least save yourself from these devils. Do not contribute in their profits at your perils.

The Aja (Goat) metaphor

0
अज = बकरी, goat?
अज = बकरी, goat?

अज = बकरी?

1) अज = Goat
2) अज = Ayurvedic Aushadhi

‘Aja’ or ‘अज’ also mean ‘moon’ or ‘Self’. And it also mean goat. 🙂 🙂
Eid al-Adha (Bakri Eid) means festival of sacrifice.
Sacrifice of self = Sacrifice of अज
बकरा नहीं आत्माका sacrifice tha…kya se kya ho gaya 😀

See…it is simple. Vedic Yagna ritual demands अज or goat! You guys are hypocrite! Your religious texts suggest sacrifice of goat and you keep crying about Muslim way of animal sacrifice! Fascists! Dhimmis! RSS agents!

😀. This is the result of half baked knowledge of the texts. This is the result of inability to contemplate on Sanskrit words and realize their right contextual meaning.

अज = अ + जन. अ means ‘No’ and ‘ज’ means ‘ability to sprout/ability to become alive again or make biological progress’.

अज – Inability to bring life back.

Rice seeds kept in sterile environment where sunlight can not reach, becomes अज after 7 years. For different seeds, this period varies.

Branches of tree fall when they become अज and for Yagna, only collected wood is prescribed in Satapath Brahman granth. Chopping tree for Yagna or Antim Sanskar is a crime against nature.

अज is full of Prana but devoid of ability to bring new life. By using अज in sacrifice, we do not kill the natural possibilities of new life.

On mental plane, in front of Agni Devta, let your mind तप्त to the level that no new Vikruti can sprout again. When mind becomes अज, sacrifice it to Agni Devta so that you transcend the limits of mind.

PS: Barring some highly specialized, target oriented, selfless, not so common rituals, we do have procedure of Bali. But that is not common practice!! And all can perform it! So don’t compare them with regular rituals Hindus perform!

Childhood, toys and psychological impact

Toys and Development

What is common among breath [prana], time, sun, horse and the Universe?

They all are वेगवान. All of them has गति. They are not static. Their speed is their hallmark.

In Sanskrit, one word describes all of them: अश्व.

And so when you read : अश्वस्य भूषणं वेगो | Speed is the glory of Horse (Ashwa), one can correlate all above entities and their respective speed.

The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad begins by describing the sacrificial horse as representing the entire universe: ‘its head is the dawn, its eye the sun, its breath the wind, its trunk the year’.

The Ashvamedha sacrifice is the celebration of ‘victory over time’, ‘Synergy with Prana’ and ‘Seamless interplay of inner universe with external universe’.

It is good idea to introduce toy horses (if real ones not possible) to your kids and let their growing imagery is filled with full of vivid visuals of horses. Let there be mock interplay with अश्व. It will psychologically prepare his senses and mind to cope up with speed of the Prana, Time and the Universe when initiated for learning and later in subsequent ashrams.

Sacred Grove : Lost tradition, lost microbial diversity, lost Prana

Distribution of Sacred Grove
Distribution of Sacred Grove

Every community of pre-British India had social responsibility to grow and protect groves. They were called sacred groves. There used to be rules defined for accessing these forest wealth. Not everyone can go and chop tree. Not in all seasons. Not all trees. All based on mutually agreed intuitive pro-synergy rules. These rules are sacred rules, considering groves alive and part of respected extended family for all.

What happened then?

We were brainwashed by education and having commune with Nature was taught as primitive and idiotic. Disconnected! There is no one to protect the groves. Now the same movement of brainwashing going in deep forests.

‘Sacred groves’ represents a traditional effort to conserve biodiversity. They are rich patches of undisturbed forests and serve as a natural habitat for many endemic, rare, primitive and economically valuable organisms representing a micro-level biodiversity hotspots.

Bacteria native to the pristine niche of sacred groves showed better plant growth promoting activities as compared to isolates from disturbed forest as well as type strains implicating the importance of sacred groves and their potential role in microbial diversity conservation.

Groves are प्राणवर्धक. Growing food without groves? It is nothing but highly unscientific way of greed-based industry. It cannot be called Agriculture (कृषि). Soil cannot grow प्राणवर्धक food without groves, without biodiversity. Without biodiversity, food lacks प्राण. Without प्राण, who can survive? Of course, we can survive. But like a dead body with little प्राण and anything worth to contribute in universal यज्ञ.

‘Traditional Sacred Groves’, an ethnic strategy for conservation of microbial diversity

‘Sacred groves’ represents a traditional effort to conserve biodiversity. They are rich patches of undisturbed forests and serve as a natural habitat for many endemic, rare, primitive and economically valuable organisms representing a micro-level biodiversity hotspots. In this study, Bacillus spp. and related genera characterized from native soils of the pristine sacred groves of Meghalaya, India revealed dominance of Bacillus, Paenibacillus, Lysinibacillus and Viridibacillus. All the isolates exhibited good plant growth promoting traits when screened for traits like phosphate solubilization, 1-aminocyclopropane-1- carboxylate deaminase and catalase activity, production of auxin, siderophores, hydrogen cyanide and ammonia. Bacteria native to the pristine niche of sacred groves showed better plant growth promoting activities as compared to isolates from disturbed forest as well as type strains implicating the importance of sacred groves and their potential role in microbial diversity conservation.

Conclusion

Sacred groves are of great research value in in situ
conservation of biodiversity. Understanding the
potential roles played by sacred groves in in situ
biodiversity conservation, it would have greater
appeal if efforts are diverted to inventorize the
existing biodiversity, especially the species that
might be of economic importance or facing
extinction. The present study is the first report on
the indigenous aerobic endospore-forming Bacillus
and related genera from the pristine and undisturbed
sacred groves prevalent in the tropical belt of
Meghalaya, India. The observations lead to the
conclusion that Bacillus and related genera isolates
obtained from the sacred groves exhibits stronger
activity and more PGP traits than the disturbed forest
isolates indicating their strong potential as candidates
for promoting plant growth in agriculture and also the
important contribution of sacred groves as a rich
source of economically valuable microbes hence
signifies the relevance of ethnic strategy and efforts
for conservation of these pristine forests

Country and Culture

Culture and Country

Your whims and fancies may trigger a thought that culture and nation are two different domains but I suggest that you get rid of this notion asap in national interest. It is nothing but unfitness of immature mind to imagine Bharat without Bharat maa. I have full sympathy and I will pray that our society will work affirmatively to do successful root-canal for this dented chasm.

It is real pastime to insult/denigrate cultural ways of reforms when you really don’t have bent of mind to understand culture.

Also, it is foolishness to oppose systematic changes via laws if your intellect fall short of understanding importance of same in national interest. Get rid of both notions in nation interest. Work unitedly.

Country follows the culture? No. Culture is one’s country and country one’s culture.

Protecting dharma, culture, nation is one in the same things. Spend your personal time selflessly for all of them! There is no great sacrifice than investing valuable personal time for the Nation and culture. Do not waste time in insulting each other.

Durva Ashtami : Grass Sacredness and Health benefits

Durvashtami is observed on the eighth day of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of moon) in Bhadrapad month. Durva Grass, an important item in Hindu ritual, is worshipped on the day.

Pujas and rituals are offered to Durva grass. Fruits, flowers, rice and other usual pujas accessories are offered on the day. It is believed that observing this Vrata will help in the long life of children.

Our culture is a culture of Aranya or Jungle. In this culture, making of a man and sustaining his life is possible only when we are constantly in touch with nature.

When a child enrolls with the Gurukul, no matter whether he learns engineering or medicine or any other skill, he or she has to go into nearby sacred groove/jungle for collecting wood. They also have to play a role of cowboy and go with the cattle on grass lands.

In Hindu rituals, the durva grass plays an important role. Rings made of the grass are often worn before starting either the ritual of homa — offerings to fire — and puja. It is considered as purification impact on Muladhar chakra (Ganesh).

In Veda, three grass are mentioned.

  • Kusa
  • Darbha
  • Durva

They play important role in rituals and day to day life.

Some of the Atharva Veda hymns glorifying grass are compiled here:

“Driving away foes and casting them beneath me, mount with the strength of the mighty ones, O Darbha!” –

“Achieve heroic deeds with Darbha, wearing this Darbha never let thy soul be troubled.”

This is just a summary. If we do in depth research, we can find more detail about importance of grass.

Unfortunately, the development model of modern India does not like grass lands. They sell them to corporates for new wave of industrialization.

It is not some bacterium but Prana. Grass is powerful Prana storage who captures Prana’s different forms from Sun. The grass that can store maximum prana is powerful medicine.

This is the reason, rituals which demands healthy pranamay sharir of the performer, has grass as essential element.

If we talk about Durva grass, The plant pacifies vitiated pitta, kapha, burning sensation, haematuria, wounds, conjunctivitis, headache, skin diseases, stomach problems and general debility. The whole plant is medicinal according to Hindhu medical God Dhanwantari who gave to the world the science of Ayurveda. The plant is medicinal when used both internally and externally. It helps to stops bleeding increases the amount of  urine excretion and checks dysentary. this plant also serves as medicine for treatment of skin diseases , diabetes , urinary tract infections ,blood disorders . In siddha system of medicine karuka grass is used to detoxify the body.

In short, durva and other sacred grass, helps your prana to maintain purity and stability which leads to tridosha balance. It can solve issues in muladhara like

  • Irregular periods
  • Indigestion
  • Blood issues (immunity, skin)

Here is the research paper which talks about potency of grass as medicine:

Research

Microbe found in grassy field contains powerful antibiotic

One bacterium, from a grassy field in Maine, produced a compound with powerful abilities to kill a variety of other bacterial species, including many human pathogens. Moreover, these pathogens failed to develop resistance to the compound: There were no surviving individuals that had evolved to withstand its attack. (Resistance usually develops when a small percentage of microbes escape an antibiotic because of a mutation and then those bacteria multiply.) Lewis initially took this total devastation as a discouraging sign—the mark of “another boring detergent.” (Bleach, after all, is a strong antibiotic, but it’s a little tooeffective at killing any surrounding cells.) However, it turned out that the new compound, which the group named teixobactin, was not toxic to human cells in a dish.

And it showed other qualities of a good antibiotic, the team reports online in Nature. On bacteria growing in lab dishes, it outperformed vancomycin, a drug long relied upon to treat the obstinate methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), by a factor of 100, Lewis says. In mice infected with MRSA, injections of teixobactin led to a 100% survival rate at lower doses than vancomycin.

The compound isn’t effective against so-called Gram-negative bacteria, increasingly feared in hospitals for their resistance to existing drugs. But the authors suggest it could be of great value to people fighting MRSA, tuberculosis, and infections with rare-but-nasty Enterococcusbacterial strains that aren’t responding to available drugs.

The men born in the land of Bharat, the gateway to heavens and salvation , are more blessed than the Gods themselves- so sing the Gods.

 अत्र ते वणयिष्यामि वर्षं भारत ! भारतम् ।
प्रियमिन्द्रस्य देवस्य मनोर्वैवस्वतस्य च ॥५॥- Mahabharat, Bhishm Parva, 9.5Bharat is Devbhumi, loved by Devas;so does your body, in shape of Bharat, is loved by Devas.

I reiterate this example again and again for intuitive minds to envision Nation driving factors..

1) Imagine Rashtra as an organism. For example, Bharat is a human species (as her geographical shape resembles to human body). Each organism has her own way of working. Humans live life different than dogs or dolphins.

2) Imagine States as organs of organism. Each organ has specific way of working. A defined goal to serve the body.

3) Imagine individual cells as citizens. They too have defined goal to serve the body as per their skills and inclination.

So, American model cannot work for Bharat. Bharatiya model cannot work for China. Yes, we may learn from each other but absolute copy-paste won’t work. Dog cannot transform into human. Human cannot become dolphin.

So when we talk about Nation driving factors. We must empower individual and from this bottom up approach, Nation should be run. Between individual and Nation, each macro identity i.e. taluka, district, state – act as per local organic environment. Everyone with single goal – To serve the Nation.

Bharat shaped Human body or Human shaped Bharat – Both are land of Devas. This is the only place on earth where life can be effortless when lived by dharma. No struggle against nature, no struggle against other creatures. Weather is well-defined. Seasons are mostly in rhythm (except our times when we have disturbed them). Most favorable place for birth and death experiments.

If we claim our bharatiya identity, the ideal way of running this entity, is to live like Deva.
What is Deva’s way?

देव is derived form of दिवु धातु. So देव’s characteristics are tapped in meanings of दिवु dhatu.

As per Panini’s grammar, दिवु is क्रीडाविजिगीषाव्यवहारद्युतिस्तुतिमोदमदस्वप्नकान्तिगतिषु
1) क्रीडा – The one who consider life as a play is DEVA
2) विजिगीषा – The one who has winning attitude is DEVA
3) व्यवहार – The one who is excelled in communication, conducts, commerce, customs, civility is DEVA
4) द्युति – The one whose life is bright is DEVA
5) स्तुति – The one who can praise others(humans, animals, nature) genuinely is DEVA (Genuine praise is very vital part of positive psychology! Those who have studied HR subjects, must be knowing this)
6) मोद – The one who is constantly working for establishing delight in society/ecosystem
7) मद – The one who is able to take pride of self and at the same time can sacrifice it.
8) स्वप्न – The one who has dream/a lofty selfless goal to be meditated on for betterment of mankind
9) कान्ति – The one from whose life, spiritual splendor is constantly radiating.
10) गति – The one who is constantly changing, गमनशील.

भारत तंत्र should be designed to produce Deva and support दैविक जीवन. We are not meant for capitalism and socialism and communism.

What is Sanatana Dharma

1

This is loose translation of late puri shakracharya sri bharati krsna tirthji’s explanation

Sanatana Dharma
Sanatana Dharma

‘Sanatana’ means ‘nitya’ or Eternal. For Bharat, dharma is ‘Sanatana’, eternal. In any other language, there is no word to represent Dharma. In English, there is word ‘Religion’ but it cannot substitute word ‘Dharma’ fully. Word ‘Religion’ is so limited and narrow-minded translation that eternal gist of ‘Sanatana’ is lost when it is used as synonym. Sanatana Dharma is so unfathomable that it not only covers subjects related to this life but a continuous time-immemorial living.

In scriptures, ‘Dharma’ is described as ‘धारणात् धर्म’ (There are many interpretations but essence remains same).  धर्म is that which sustains the society, protects the society from decadence, downfall and destruction. Whereas ‘Religion’ is strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny. Religion may lead to superstitions, delusions and tunnel vision but Dharma cannot. For example, Veda does not mere prescribed अध्यात्मिक/spirituals discourses but they also suggest ways to prosper in material worlds.

Let us try to understand word ‘सनातन धर्म’ by different yardsticks.

1)     In Sanskrit grammar, word ‘सनातन धर्म’ is having षष्ठी-तत्पुरुषसमास i.e. ‘सनातस्य धर्म इति सनातनधर्मं’. Like how Christ is part of Christianity, Buddha is part of Buddhism, सनातन is part of सनातन धर्म i.e. सनातन धर्म is being governed by the सनातन i.e. नित्य तत्व/परमात्मा. It is not man-made, man-prescribed dharma but God-made, God-governed, God-prescribed, eternal dharma. Since Dharma has closest meaning in ‘Religion’, it is natural tendency to compare ‘Dharma’ with ‘Religion.

Take any religion of the world. It can be classified in two categories 1) Those who were there in ancient times and not practiced currently 2) Those that were not there in ancient times but are being practiced in present times. सनातन does not fall in this category for very reason that it carry i.e. नित्य or eternal. It was there in ancient times and it is here right now, very reason why life still prevails in turmoil times.

2)      ‘सनातन धर्म’  is eternal not only because it is created and prescribed by almighty but also because it remains eternal from formation of universe to destruction of universe and beyond. If we understand word ‘सनातन धर्म’ by कर्मधारायः समास, it means ‘सनातनश्चासौ धर्मश्च’ or dharma which stays forever.

This does not mean ‘Religion’ equivalents of ‘Dharma’ are fraud or false.  Since they are influenced by one or another person, and controlled by sects, they die out.

3)     Another way to interpret ‘सनातन धर्म’ is (again कर्मधारायः समास )

सनाःसदा भव सनातनः सनातनं करोतीति सनातनयति । सनातनयतीति सनातनः सनातनश्चासौ धर्म सनातनधर्मः ।

This means, ‘सनातन धर्म’ is eternal, not only because it was prescribed eternal almighty or it is eternal but also because those who follow सनातन धर्म, also become सनातन or अमर or immortal.

To understand this, we will have to look for comparative analysis of civilizations and Nations of the past. Greece, Rome, Syria, Persia and many such nations were powerful and having hold on Earth but they all are vanished with time. Mighty military, abundant wealth and mass – they had everything but not a power to make people Sanatana.  Despite turmoil of many millenniums, it is this land, land of Bharata, that has sustained life and the credit goes to people’s varied but steadfast belief in following eternal dharma principles.

4)     To understand meaning of 3rd point (Dharma that makes followers immortal), we need to understand meaning of word सनातनयति.

सनातनयति – सनातनं परमात्मस्वरूपं प्रापयति इति or Dharma which helps followers to attain God.

[1]

This is the nature of सनातन धर्म. The one prescribed by eternal nature, is eternal and helps followers to become eternal by realizing existence of the eternal almighty. To understand and implement सनातन धर्म in life, scriptures are written by ऋषि-द्रष्टा in their deep communion with eternal. They are torchbearers. Whenever, they are not followed, society invites destruction, sooner or later.

Soul harvesting : direct and indirect

There are two types of soul harvesting. One is direct where people work for religious conversion and by mocking and insulting local belies. Another is indirect where so called intellectuals reject rituals and faith and call for abolishing all rituals. The former is visible  but the later is silent poison intellectuals inject in mass around them, preparing them for soul harvesting.

Not all of us are on same mental plane. Some of us tend to worship deity. Many worship god-men. By worshiping God-man preaching principles of Sanatana dharma, large mass of Bharat, by one or other way, still believe in Upavas, Ayurveda and other life-oriented sanatana practices. Of course, they are not perfect in their practices but as Krushna said in Gita, endowed with such faith he worship that particular demogod/Godman and obtains through him without doubt his desired enjoyments as ordained by myself. Anyhow, veiled by his Yogamaya (divine potency); he is not manifest to all. Hence these ignorant folk fail to recognize him, the unborn and imperishable Supreme Deity. But still, via so called agents of God, they are on the path of self-realization by imperfect implementation of sanatana practices.

For example, irrespective of their supreme imagination of Guru, irrespective of their Guru’s reality, millions are awakened to follow Sanatana ways. Imperfect, we all are. Don’t make fun of imperfection. You too were there few births apart.

गाय & गव्य

Gavya is a Sanskrit word. It has multiple meanings. It is actually a bridge between different forms of Gau.

Gau means Cow. Gau means senses. Gau means mother Earth. Gavya is their prasad. One produces and another consumes. Cycle goes on forever.

गौ रक्षक

Panchgavya is elixir from Gau, for Gau (Human senses and Mother Earth). Result again is Gavya (Seva from Humans and produce from Mother earth) from gau, for Gau (Cow).
