अभ्यंग – तेल मालिश is important preventive care for Polio.
In Ayurveda, Polio is considered Vata Prakop पक्षाघात. It happens due to irregular food, indigestible food (like nonveg) in early age, irregular sleep, disturbed family environment due to failed marriage of parents or failed relation between parents and grand-parents, lack of sanitation, prolonged polluted air exposure, inborn Vata prkriti due to accidental birth** are some of the many causes that increases Vata in new born/infant/toddler.
अभ्यंग – तेल मालिश can also cure पक्षाघात.
**Accidental birth = produced by lust, sex during Vata prakop season and time.
Ever wondered why every other Indian around us, groomed under colonial legacy education system setup by 1947 Independence custodians i.e. Indian National Congress, hate local culture or have very ostrich view about their roots?
It is because Indian National Congress was rooted in Anti-Sanatana Culture.
Let me share pain of renowned Ayurvedacharya Dr Bhudeb Mukerjee’s book Rasa Jala Nidhi published in 1938.
For everyone’s surprice, M K Gandhi is known to entire world as follower of naturopathy, makes comment against Ayurveda! 🙂
PS: Mind you – Naturopathy is not Ayurveda! Former is whims and fancies of few based on local benefits while Ayurveda is pure principles led science!
Read it to realize why modern Indians around us don’t trust Ayurveda and make fun of it. Read it why we failed to produce real Ayurvedic doctor (due to lack of trust on scriptures and blind pattern of modern education followed in modern Ayurvedic colleges)
This was about Dr. Bhudeb Mukerjee’s pain about then INC political leaders western love and hate for local science and culture.
Here is what Mr. Nehru said once:
Nehru’s views on village society:
“A village, normally speaking, is backward intellectually and culturally and no progress can be made from a backward environment.”
With such biased views against local culture and civilization, no wonder Congress led govt promoted cow slaughter after 1947.
Roots of cow slaughter in India
1954 Expert Committee on the Prevention of Slaughter of Cattle in India
In 1954, the Government of India (Ministry of Food and Agriculture) appointed an “Expert Committee on the Prevention of Slaughter of Cattle in India”, which gave its report in January 1955.
Do you want to know committee’s startling conclusion?
Hold your breadth! 😀
In the very middle of the report, the Committee began to say that as we do not have enough fodder we cannot maintain more than 40% of our cattle. According to it, 60% of the rest had to be culled from the Indian Cattle stock, whenever possible.
Can you imagine the reason? There is no fodder so kill! 😀 Insane, illogical and fabricated!
Points to ponder upon:
1) It was Congress govt led by Nehru
2) Nehru was a meat-eater, specially beef-eater, a regular wine-drinker
3) He regularly took guidance from British Govt and queen even after 1947. It is documented fact that Kashmir mess was due to he asked Mountbatten to take decisions.
Connect the dots. Britishers did not want India to prosper so they promoted cow slaughter. Independent India’s slave rulers followed the same on master’s call.
Last but not the least,
Mr. Nehru believed that Vedas were written by Aryans who invaded India! lol !
For him, Sanskrit scriptures were mere mythology of primitive minds, and it was unfortunate for him that many Indians believes in Vedas as holy scriptures. For him, Vedic Hymns were mere poetic testaments of a people’s collective reaction to the wonder of Nature. For him, only words of Christ and Buddha are relevant to Indians.
Last week, I share a link that explained how mercury causes homo-sexuality, I thought to do some more research to find solutions as our environment is now full heavy metals due to industrialized civilization.
From cosmetics to processed food to vaccine, everything is loaded with some form of mercury.
What should be our strategy to combat heavy metal infusion in our life?
First thing that came to my mind was : Ayurveda.
In Ayurveda, mercury is used as medicine. So I thought to dig down and find out how exactly mercury is used?
Later, I also investigated how modern medicine treats mercury poisoning.
पारद – mercury
From रस जल निधि
Let begin by presenting pages explaining evil effects of mercury from Rasa Jala Nidhi book as is.
I cannot write entire treatise here but I will try to share highlights of importance of mercury in Ancient Rasayana Shashtra. In future, I will try to write more notes on ancient chemistry.
Parada when itself killed (reduced to ashes) , becomes a killer of all diseases and death!
It kills diseases when itself in a state of swoon (transformed by sulfur).
Mercury is compared to
Brahma in purification state
Vishnu in swoon state (with sulfur)
Rudra in dead state
Maheshwara in solidificaiton state
There are five types of mercury found in soil, based on type of the soil
Rasa – Red, free from all harms, destroyer of dieseases – found in Swarga (Northen hemisphere?)
Resendra – free from defects , black and coarse and very subtle. Naga people attained lack of old age with its help
Suta – yellow and coarse – full of poisons – requires 18 purification steps before using it.
Parad – White / Silver – full of poisons – 18 purification steps requires
Mishraka – peocock complexion – 18 purification steps needed before use
There are several methods to purify mercury. One of them caught my eyes is where cow urine is needed!
Remember – When it (mercury) is killed, it can kill any diseases. The correct form of mercury prescribed is bhashma!
What is general procedure to prepare Bhashma?
The name bhasma is generally applied to all metallic and nonmetallic substances that are subjected to the process of incineration and reduction to ash. Here it is applied to the metals, minerals, and animal products that are, by special processes, calcinated in closed crucibles in pits with cow dung cakes.
Please note – Bhashma preparation is incomplete without cow dung cakes!
In Ayurveda, purification is called Sodhana. Shodhana is the process through which the external and internal impurities of metals and minerals are removed. Chemical purification is different from medicinal purification. In chemical purification it is only elimination of foreign matters, whereas in medicinal purification the objects are involved in the
1. Elimination of harmful matter from the drug
2. Modification of undesirable physical properties of the drug
3. Conversion of some of the characteristics of the drug to different stages
4. Enhancement of the therapeutic action
Sodhana requires Gau mutra!
After Sodhana, Marana is performed. Here, Cow-ghee is used for many metals. I still need to confirm for mercury.
For Marana, cow-dung is must! A pit is dug in an open space and half the pit is filled with dried cow dung cakes. The cru cibles are placed in the half-filled pit and are covered with cow dung cakes up to the brim of the pit. Fire is then ignited on all four sides and in the middle of the pit. When the burning is over, the contents are allowed to cool completely on their own. Marana differs with the nature of the substance to be calcinated.
Note down – Dry Cow dung cakes. Ashes. Carbon.
In short, without cow urine and dung, purification of mercury is not possible.
Rasa Jala Nidhi is the reference book.
Mercury chelation by modern science
Outside the body, several well-known compounds demonstrate strong affinity for mercury, including activated carbon charcoal, sulfur, and selenium.
carbon – cow dung ash
Sulfur – is must as per Ayurveda for purification of mercury
Important sulfhy-dryl compounds in various bodily processes involving antioxidant protection and DNA transcription include the sulfur-containing amino acids cystine, cysteine, methionine, and taurine. You get them naturally in food when the food is grown using cow manure and urine!
When you use cow dung ash for brushing the teeth, some portion is absorbed and digested. Unknowingly, it helps in mercury chelation!
Cow urine is full of sulfur oxides! Helps in catching mercury! See Papers section
Even environmental mercury can be handled by cow dung and urine! See papers section
In our chaotic times, only feasible and affordable detox solution we have is help from Gau prasad (urine, dung, ghee)
Efficacy of cow urine distillate in combating mercury induced toxicity in commercial broilers
Present study was designed to investigate the beneficial and curative effect of cow urine distillate in modulating toxic effect of mercury in chickens. Twenty four, day old, broiler chicks were procured and reared in battery brooders for a week and then divided into four groups of six chicks each. Group I birds were fed with standard feed served as control. Group II birds were administered with cow urine distillate @ 1 ml/bird/day. Group III birds received mercuric chloride @ 50 ppm mixed with feed whereas, group IV birds received mercuric chloride @ 50 ppm in feed along with cow urine distillate @ 1 ml/bird/day. The birds given mercuric chloride (group III) showed significant decrease in the level of haemoglobin, packed cell volume, total erythrocyte count and erythrocytic indices. The values of serum enzymes, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine and glucose were significantly elevated whereas the level of serum proteins declined. Group IV birds receiving cow urine distillate along with mercuric chloride did not show any toxic effects of the mercuric chloride and the haematological and biochemical parameters remained near normal range. The beneficial effect of cow urine distillate in combating toxic effects of mercuric chloride was evident as there was neither decrease in erythrocytic indices nor elevation of serum enzymes, glucose, blood urea nitrogen and creatinine in group IV birds.

Mercury chemisorption by sulfur adsorbed in porous materials
The sorption of mercury vapor by adsorbed sulfur in the zeolites CaA (= 5A) and NaX (=13X) and two types of active carbon has been measured at a temperature of 50°C. With increasing degree of micropore filling by sulfur the fraction of sulfur accessible to mercury atoms decreased for CaA and NaX. The sulfur chemisorbed on carbon (only less than 0.05 g sulfur per g) is not very active for mercury chemisorption. The mercury uptake shows a sharp maximum as a function of the amount of sorbed sulfur in the case of CaA, NaX and activated sugar charcoal. The oxidation rate of H2S with oxygen on NaX and activated sugar charcoal correlates with the capacity for mercury chemisorption, both as a function of the amount of sorbed sulfur. From the amount of sorbed mercury an estimate of the specific sulfur surface area may be given. When sulfur impregnated CaA, NaX or activated sugar charcoal are used as adsorbents for mercury traces out of gas streams, the mercury sorption capacity may be maximized by using materials with a micropore volume approximately half filled with sulfur.
Bioremediation of Pharmaceuticals, Pesticides, and Petrochemicals with Gomeya/Cow Dung
Use and misuse of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and petrochemicals by man is causing havoc with nature, as they persist as such or as their toxic metabolites. These pollutants bioaccumulate in environment, and they ultimately reach man through various means. They are hazardous because of potential toxicity, mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, and genotoxicity. To rejuvenate nature, remediation methods currently available are usually expensive and might convert one toxic pollutant to another. Bioremediation methods use naturally occurring microorganisms to detoxify man-made pollutants so that they change pollutants to innocuous products that make soil fertile in the process. Taking cue from Ayurveda, Gomeya/cow dung is used as an excellent bioremediation method. Thus, utilizing freely available cow dung as slurry or after composting in rural areas, is a cheap and effective measure to bioremediate the harmful pollutants. Yet, more research in this direction is warranted to bioremediate nonbiodegradable, potentially toxic pollutants.
Current status of cow dung as a bioresource for sustainable development
Cow dung, an excreta of bovine animal, is a cheap and easily available bioresource on our planet. Many traditional uses of cow dung such as burning as fuel, mosquito repellent and as cleansing agent are already known in India. Cow dung harbours a diverse group of microorganisms that may be beneficial to humans due to their ability to produce a range of metabolites. Along with the production of novel chemicals, many cow dung microorganisms have shown natural ability to increase soil fertility through phosphate solubilisation. Nowadays, there is an increasing research interest in developing the applications of cow dung microorganisms for biofuel production and management of environmental pollutants. This review focuses on recent findings being made on cow dung that could be harnessed for usage in different areas such as medicine, agriculture and industry.
Sequestering heavy metals from wastewater using cow dung
The presence of heavy metals (e.g., Zn, Cu, Pb, Ni, Cd, etc.) in aqueous solutions constitutes a major environmental problem. The present work represents a review of the recently published literature discussing the use of cow dung as adsorbent for the removal of metal ions from aqueous solution using batch experiments. The potential health and environmental hazards of metal ions in addition to the kinetic and isothermal models usually assessed to fit the biosorption experimental data were also reviewed. Conclusively, it was established that the use of cow dung is a promising adsorbent in the removal of heavy metals from waste waters and environment.
There is often a question mark on fate-estimating science i.e. Jyotish that why everything for everyone is never turned reality?
आचार्य शुश्रुत gives precise answer => Sadachar सदाचार – leading a virtuous life : This is the key.
ततो ग्रहांस्तानुवाच भगवान् भगनेत्रहृत्।
तिय्यग्योनिं मानुषञ्च दैवञ्च त्रितयं जगत्॥
Those families where noone performs यज्ञ for Devata and Pitru, where Brahmans, Saints , Guru and Atithi(s) are not welcomed, where charity does not happen, where virtuous living is not demonstrated, all 9 Grahas can afflict the children.
Few days back, I shared that in वर्षा ऋतू, we observe वात प्रकोप.
One friend had doubt: How come in Sun southern solstice season when Pitta is increasing, we observe वात प्रकोप?
One analogy: You eat mangoes in 2015 summer because mango trees prepared for it since late 2014.
Similarly, we experience fruition period of वात प्रकोप in monsoon because entire ग्रीष्म ऋतू, it was slowly getting aggravated. Indeed, during Sun’s southern solstice movement, पित्त is rising slowly but it is not at its best during monsoon. Body is still under the effects of वात प्रकोप started in ग्रीष्म.
So during monsoon, it is time of detoxification (Shiva Bhakti) by fasting.
By the end of monsoon, वात will reduce and पित्त will gain its ground enough. That’s when festivals will indicate change in food. Final fasting season ends with Navratri and with Dushehra (Vijaya Dashmi), food changes.
When पित्त reaches its pinnacle, you can eat anything and everything and it will get digested smile emoticon. Come winter (it is season of Kapha but you experience पित्त प्रकोप) and eat copiously. Come monsoon and eat frugally.
This is our modern Indian. First, he lives careless life under the influence of addictions and indulgences. Second, he surrendered to modern medicines. At last, he will expect and deamdn Ayurveda to do magic and save him.
Ayurveda is not a pseudo science that can give you false promises and instant relief like modern medicines. Without patience and zeal to live life (जिजीविषा), it can not work as savior. It demands sacrifices of your addictions. It demands you to live life in synergy with mother nature. It demands you to burn all your negative habits.
If you can, it is magic. If you cannot, don’t blame it for not saving your life.
Don’t regret if your Ayurvedic tips do not work for modern Indians. They deserve the great sunk (Doomed to extinction) since they do not respect their cultural traditions, prefer to uproot from roots and live careless life.
Picture from a book titled: “आयुर्वेद विभिन्न पहलू” by शरदिनी दहाणुकर एवं उर्मिला थत्ते
What is science?
Study of the physical and natural world using theoretical models and data from experiments or observations.
What is pseudo-science?
An activity resembling science but based on fallacious assumptions
Let me share two examples here. You decide, what is science and what is pseudo-science.
In the 1950s two new drugs became available to treat common problems in pregnancy. One was thalidomide and the other was diethylstilbestrol, otherwise known as DES.
These were drugs that were considered safe for pregnant women and had actual or purported benefits.Between 1957 and 1961, thousands of women were prescribed thalidomide. In 1960 it could be purchased over the counter in Germany without a prescription.
At least ten thousand to twenty thousand babies were born with serious birth defects, mostly involving limb development, with shortened or missing arms and legs, as well as anomalies of the pelvis, eyes, and ears. Many defects were lethal.
A drug proven safe based on so called scientific studies failed miserably.
DES is similar story. Google and read about it.
Science or Pseudo-science?
From time immemorial, Turmeric is prescribed by Ayurveda as life enriching drug. There is no side effect reported so far. When used as per prescriptions, it surely gives results.
There are at least 1000+ such prescriptions by Ayurvedic texts.
Science or pseudo-science?
Only educated arrogant will live in self-denial mode.
Art of scientific study is not in transforming natural phenomenons into complex formulas and patents but to simplify them to the level that it becomes common sense and anyone can use knowledge to live happy life.
Ayurveda passes this test. Modern medicine fails miserably.
“clear cell adenocarcinoma (cancer of the cervix and vagina), birth defects, and other developmental abnormalities in children born to women who took the drug while pregnant; increased risk of breast cancer, higher risk of death from breast cancer; risk of cancer in children of mothers taking the drug including raised risk of breast cancer after age 40; increased risk of fertility and pregnancy complications, early menopause, testicular abnormalities; potential risks for third generation children (the grandchildren of women who took the drug) but they are unclear as studies are just beginning
Studies in the 1950s showed the drug was not effective at preventing miscarriages, premature labor, or other pregnancy complications.”
In last post, I talked about importance of bacteria in controlling our mood/mental state.
This interesting article supports the hypothesis I presented about eating ONLY home-made dahi/butter milk/yogurt (to avoid alien bacteria of alien environment i.e. shop/factory where dahi is prepared in mass). It also suggests another hypothesis of having Panchmrit prepared from all unrefined, unprocessed raw milk, jaggery, sugar and honey.
More processed food you eat, more alien food you eat (Food prepared in alien environment i.e. restaurants), frequent travelling you do (so eating outside food frequently) and more acidity you suffer from.
The researchers found that scavengers, or species that eat food at high risk of microbial contamination, have more acidic stomachs. This acidity allows the stomach to act as a filter, effectively controlling which microbes can pass through the stomach to the gut.
Passing stomach acidity is very essential for probiotic food. Most probiotic food available in market fail here. It only helps in increasing acidity of the stomach.
An analysis of data on stomach acidity and diet in birds and mammals suggests that high levels of stomach acidity developed not to help animals break down food, but to defend animals against food poisoning. The work raises interesting questions about the evolution of stomach acidity in humans, and how modern life may be affecting both our stomach acidity and the microbial communities that live in our guts.
Antacids is not a solution. It is actually counter-health solution. Right solution is to avoid eating at unknown food-joints, at unknown places. Avoid highly processed food full of chemicals.
1) If you start cooking for self, you will never need acidity regulators!acidity regulators are against the innate nature of stomach! Never take them! They worsen the stomach working.
2) Take good care of selecting and preparing probiotic food.
3) Avoid outside food and travelling as much as possible
4) Avoid non-veg diet if you are living in terrain where plant based diet is available.
Take care. Never seek easy short-sighted solutions.
The Evolutionary Link Between Diet and Stomach Acidity
Gastric acidity is likely a key factor shaping the diversity and composition of microbial communities found in the vertebrate gut. We conducted a systematic review to test the hypothesis that a key role of the vertebrate stomach is to maintain the gut microbial community by filtering out novel microbial taxa before they pass into the intestines. We propose that species feeding either on carrion or on organisms that are close phylogenetic relatives should require the most restrictive filter (measured as high stomach acidity) as protection from foreign microbes. Conversely, species feeding on a lower trophic level or on food that is distantly related to them (e.g. herbivores) should require the least restrictive filter, as the risk of pathogen exposure is lower. Comparisons of stomach acidity across trophic groups in mammal and bird taxa show that scavengers and carnivores have significantly higher stomach acidities compared to herbivores or carnivores feeding on phylogenetically distant prey such as insects or fish. In addition, we find when stomach acidity varies within species either naturally (with age) or in treatments such as bariatric surgery, the effects on gut bacterial pathogens and communities are in line with our hypothesis that the stomach acts as an ecological filter. Together these results highlight the importance of including measurements of gastric pH when investigating gut microbial dynamics within and across species
It is your self-denial that stops you embracing ageless local culture back in life routine and get benefits of health society. Self denial mode is a biggest road block created by modern education. Unfortunately for so called educated, anything out of text book is humbug and fake. For them, real experience and experiments don’t matter but staged lab results like fake clinical trials.
Break your comfort zone of self-denial and dare to live life as per local culture.
Free radicals are everywhere, in the air, our bodies, and the materials around us. They cause the deterioration of plastics, the fading of paint, the degradation of works of art, aging related illnesses, and can contribute to heart attacks, stroke and cancers.
Free radicals are molecules with unpaired electrons. In their quest to find another electron, they are very reactive and cause damage to surrounding molecules.
It is one of the reasons why we see rapid aging & imbecility in our youth.
Free of cost solution?
Gau seva and Gau Prasad
When Gau is revered like a mata and taken care like your own mother, she takes care of you like a son and bestows magical boons.
Gau mutra act as an agent of radical scavenging which captures free radicals and satiates there energy needs. A vast amount of circumstantial evidence implicates free radicals as the mediators of wide range of diseases including diabetes, ageing, cancer, etc. Gau mutra can cure all of them magically.
If we want to stop Cow slaughter, best way is not the Milk production but by establishing usage of all her various prasads including Gau mutra in our society.
Medicinal use of cow urine has been in practice since time immemorial in India. It is one of the ingredients in “Panchgavya”. Several medicinal properties of cow urine have been mentioned and in Indian tradition it is believed to have therapeutic properties. In the present investigation antioxidant activity of cow urine (fresh) and its distillate was evaluated using two in vitro models i.e. Total antioxidant activity by ABTS method and DPPH radical scavenging activity. Both cow urine and its distillate exhibited the antioxidant activity. The IC50 value for ABTS radical scavenging activity of fresh urine was found to be 69.39 μl/ml and that of urine distillate was 86.91μl/ml. IC50 value for free radical scavenging activity of fresh urine and its distillate was found to be 5.25 μl/ml and 7.37 μl/ml respectively. Comparatively cow urine was found to be better antioxidant than its distillate. This supports the claim of traditional practitioners. The revealed antioxidant property of cow urine and its distillate may provide potential therapeutic intervention against oxidative threats, both in healthy and disease conditions.
Online friend asked this query recently. Why fat increases after marriage?
Old note on same topic.
1) Why do pregnant mothers increase fat in last trimester with the help of changing patterns of healthy bacteria in mother’s intestine ( #marutMicrobes)?
2) Why OBESITY is prominent in our times?
“यन्मांसां स्वागि्ना पक्वं तन्मेद इति कथ्यते॥
तदतीव गुरु स्निग्धं बलकार्यतिबृंहणम्॥”
Meda or Fat is a perfectly ripe; mature flesh (मांस). (One of 7 dhatus). It is ripen by the Fire of the body. It is full of fire. It is in fact, fuel. Raw fuel. Besides satisfying energy needs of the body, it provides stability/firmness to body. Shock absorption.
In last trimester of pregnancy, baby has fragile bones and organs. It needs protection from unforeseen external accidents. During this time, brain is under development and demands super flow of energy.
Some supporting research papers for obesity and reproduction links.
Obesity and infertility.
Fertility can be negatively affected by obesity. In women, early onset of obesity favours the development of menses irregularities, chronic oligo-anovulation and infertility in the adult age. Obesity in women can also increase risk of miscarriages and impair the outcomes of assisted reproductive technologies and pregnancy, when the body mass index exceeds 30 kg/m. The main factors implicated in the association may be insulin excess and insulin resistance. These adverse effects of obesity are specifically evident in polycystic ovary syndrome. In men, obesity is associated with low testosterone levels. In massively obese individuals, reduced spermatogenesis associated with severe hypotestosteronemia may favour infertility. Moreover, the frequency of erectile dysfunction increases with increasing body mass index.
The adverse effects of obesity on conception and implantation
Whilst many multiparous women are obese (body mass index >30 kg/m2), obesity has been associated with impaired fecundity; however, the mechanism which links obesity to reduced fertility remains to be fully elucidated. Obese women, particularly those with central obesity, are less likely to conceive per cycle. Obese women suffer perturbations to the hypothalamic–pituitary–ovarian axis, menstrual cycle disturbance and are up to three times more likely to suffer oligo-/anovulation. A fine hormonal balance regulates follicular development and oocyte maturation, and it has been observed that obesity can alter the hormonal milieu. Leptin, a hormone produced by adipocytes, is elevated in obese women, and raised leptin has been associated with impaired fecundity. Obesity impairs ovulation but has also been observed to detrimentally affect endometrial development and implantation. The expression of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is regulated, in part, by weight, and so obese women with PCOS often have a more severe phenotype and experience more subfertility. Obesity also impairs the response of women to assisted conception treatments. Weight loss through lifestyle modification or bariatric surgery has been demonstrated to restore menstrual cyclicity and ovulation and improve the likelihood of conception. In this article, we will discuss the effect of obesity upon key reproductive mechanisms and its relation to fertility treatments.
What is solution for mid-life early Vata disorder?
There are many solutions. Some of them are listed here:
1) Surya Namaskar every morning.
2) Worship Hanuman ji
3) Abhyang – Tel malish daily before taking bath (45 mins before) – Sesame oil AND Head malish after taking last meal of the day, before sleeping.
4) Fasting on Saturday
5) Turmeric and Ginger – include as medicine. Esp. during monsoon.
